About the Program
A Home Built on Accountability and Recovery
New Opportunities has been providing safe recovery housing for men in Maryville, TN since 2017. We operate several sober living properties, each offering a structured, supportive environment where men can transition back into society after incarceration or completing a drug and alcohol treatment program.
Residents are expected to maintain complete sobriety, participate in a community recovery program, and follow house rules designed to foster responsibility and mutual respect. This is not a treatment facility — it is a home where men do the real work of rebuilding their lives.
What We Expect
Requirements for Residents
New Opportunities is for men who are serious about sobriety. These expectations exist to protect every resident and create a home worth living in.
- Must be detoxed and able to pass a drug test upon entry
- Attend 3 outside meetings per week (NA, AA, or CR)
- Work full time — or volunteer 12 hours per week if disabled
- Random drug and alcohol screenings at any time
- Weekly house meeting attendance required
- Maintain a mandatory savings account and pay rent on time
